Direct planting tips:   Plant seed in desired location and cover with 1/4 inches of soil, and firm.

Transplants:   If you grow transplants from our seed: transplant while dormant in spring or fall, trim long roots, plant with buds just below the soil surface, space 1 to 2 feet apart.

Companion prairie plants:   Leadplant, Wild lupine, Stiff coreopsis, Little bluestem, June grass.

Comments:   Round headed bush clover is a good source of seed for birds during the winter.
