Direct planting tips:   Plant seed in desired location in 1/2 inch deep soil, and firm.

Transplants:   If you grow transplants from our seed: transplant while dormant in spring or fall, trim long roots, plant with buds just below the soil surface, space 3 to 4 feet apart. Very vigorous.

Companion prairie plants:    White false indigo, yellow coneflower, saw toothed sunflower, Big bluestem, Indian grass.

Comments:   Very vigorous. Seed head is a good source of seed for birds during the winter. Good for home landscaping.
